Overview

This course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the principles of leadership and how it can impact effective performance at the workplace.

Participants in this 2-day course will learn to analyse how their current leadership styles impact their performance at work. They will also be able to critically diagnose subordinates’ abilities and motivations in different situations and learn how to adapt leadership styles to match subordinates’ competency and commitment. Participants will also develop action plans for effective leadership and management practices that align their team’s performance to organisational strategies and goals.

  • Learn and understand the importance of accepting and managing diversity at work.
  • Recognize how team members behave due to their individual brain dominance and preferences.
  • Learn to analyse and relate team member practices according to their team roles.
  • Learn and analyse how their current leadership styles impact their performance at work.
  • Practice effective diagnosis of their subordinates competency and commitment to different work situations.
  • Adapt different leadership styles to match their subordinates abilities and motivation.
  • Develop Action Plans to effectively lead and manage challenges at work.
  • During the course follow up – advice and motivate participants to successfully implement effective leadership behaviours with greater confidence, commitment, and motivation to achieve both personal and organisational objectives.

SkillsFuture Course Funding

To be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:

1.    Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
2.    Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:

1.    Be a Singaporean Citizen
2.    Be at least 40 years old
3.    Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.
