Overview

Becoming more familiar with language rules and knowing more words and terminologies can certainly help to enhance a person's communication skills. But a sense of situational awareness and service orientation is instrumental in the making of an effective communicator.

The 2-day workshop is designed to address what constitutes effective communication in this broader context.  Through discussions, writing and speaking practice, peer review, interactive activities and end-of-course assessment, this workshop seeks to help you approach and manage communication activities with a service-oriented and purpose-driven mindset.

The content of this 2-day workshop will assist participants in three main ways. Participants will

  1. Introduce good practices and current ideas in effective communication;
  2. Help participants identify strengths and areas for improvement in the light of concepts and ideas explored;  and
  3. Show how techniques and ideas introduced can be applied to workplace communication.
