Overview

The proportion of Singaporeans aged 65 years and over is has risen from 8.7% to 13.7% over the last decade and is expected to increase to over 27% by 2030. With aging comes loss of physical ability and health due to lifestyle choices and behaviour . This 1-day symposium will provide insights into different aspects of aging based around the World Health Organisation International Classification of Human Function.

The symposium aims to provide series of presentations on factors that impact on healthy ageing. The symposium will also assist healthcare professionals and care givers in incorporating health ageing strategies to their patient management/care plans. The topics will be of interest to all healthcare professionals and managers of health and social services.
