SITizens Learning Credits

Overview

The module explores the principles, methodologies and technologies involved in advanced cybersecurity cases and platforms in the evolving digital ecosystem. We will explore advanced threats as well as cybersecurity innovations that evolved due to the Smart Nation initiative. This module also aims to cover relevant examples from digital business to industry 4.0 and consider issues ranging from hybrid cyber threats through strategic design of solutions to machine learning-aided digital forensics.

What You’ll Learn

1. Advanced Threats and Vulnerabilities

  • Specify and exemplify potential vulnerabilities and cyber threats in the digital economy and society.

2. Exploit Characteristics and Cyber Defence Limitations

  • Define and explain characteristics and operation of advanced cyber exploits.
  • Identify threat-specific limitations in contemporary cyber defences.

3. Technology Overview and Defence Disruption

  • Understand and apply practical technologies in Industry 4.0 and Grid 2.0 domains
  • Specify and explain selected disruptive cyber defence systems
  • Smart Digital Forensics

4. Cybersecurity challenges on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition and Industrial Control Systems.

  • Understand the devices in SCADA and ICS
  • The security issues in the cyber physical systems
  • Attacks related to the critical infrastructure

Who Should Attend

  • Graduates with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering and have hands-on experience in IT/software projects.

Prerequisites

  • Interested participant is required to have Computer Science fundamentals with hands-on experience in software development.


Certificate and Assessment

A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
  • Attend 75% of the course
  • Undertake non-credit bearing assessment (during course)

A Certificate of Attainment for each module will be issued to participants who:

  • Attend at least 75% of each respective module; and
  • Participants who pass the Continuous Assessment

SkillsFuture Course Funding

To be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:

1.    Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident or LTVP+ Holder
2.    Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:

1.    Be a Singaporean Citizen
2.    Be at least 40 years old
3.    Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.

SIT reserves the right to make changes to published course information, including dates, times, venues, fees and instructors without prior notice.

Modules

  • FTI6001 Managing and Leading Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Projects
  • FTI6002 Internet of Things for a Connected World
  • FTI6003 5G for Digital Transformation
  • FTI6004 Cybersecurity in the New Economy

Each module carries 6 credits. Candidates who pass all 4 modules (totalling 24 credits) with a CGPA of 2.5 or more will be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Frontier Technologies by SIT.
