Overview

The advancement of speech processing such as smart home technology, advanced speech recognition and synthesis as well as voice-assisted technology has become the new normal. This course will cover the latest topics in speech and audio processing, including an in-depth analysis of machine learning and big data approaches. It will also include a discussion of the end-to-end process and requirements for deploying voice-based and audio services.
 
This 12-hour workshop will provide participants with the knowledge on the current state of audio and speech technology as well as a refresher on foundational technologies, such as digital filtering, de-noising, feature extraction, visualisation and analysis of speech and audio.

Who Should Attend

Computer, Electrical, Hardware, Product Design and/or any Engineers who are keen to understand the latest technologies in speech and audio signal processing.

 

Prerequisites

Participants should preferably have some background in computer and/or electrical engineering.

 

Certificate and Assessment

A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
  • Attend at least 75% of the course
  • Undertake non-credit bearing assessment during the course

SkillsFuture Funding


In order to be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded by SkillsFuture, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
  1.  Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
  2.  Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
  1.  Be a Singaporean Citizen
  2.  Be at least 40 years old
  3.  Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.
