Overview
AI and machine learning are transforming business processes and customer relationships in Accounting and Finance. The one-day workshop will focus on the business data and machine learning theories and applications for beginners. We will start with data types, descriptive and predictive analytics, and discuss machine learning model types including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning and deep learning.
What You’ll Learn
Descriptive and predictive analytics
- Describe what has happened in the past and predict what will happen in the future using statistical analysis
Supervised learning
- Learning a function that maps an input to an output based on example input-output pairs.
Unsupervised learning
- The model to work on its own to discover patterns and information that was previously undetected.
Reinforcement learning
- The process to take actions in an environment in order to maximize the notion of cumulative reward.
Deep learning
- Enable the networks to learn unsupervised from data that is unstructured or unlabeled.

A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
- Attend 75% of the course

SkillsFuture Funding
In order to be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded by SkillsFuture, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy
To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen
- Be at least 40 years old
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
