Ultrasound plays a crucial role in the evaluation and management of patients with hepatobiliary and kidney diseases. This two-day interactive workshop will provide participants with the required knowledge and skills in abdominal ultrasound.
The workshop will focus on indications, anatomy, scanning techniques, normal and abnormal findings involved in an abdominal ultrasound examination. FAST scan in emergency setting will also be covered on the second day plus further scanning techniques. Hands-on practical will be conducted in both afternoon sessions to complete the didactic teaching.
This workshop is supported by Singapore Society of Radiographers.
Participants are required to have a healthcare related qualification. Prior knowledge on general operation of the ultrasound machines may be given preferential consideration
A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who attend at least 75% of the programme
Blended learning approach including a combination of pre-workshop reading materials on xSITE online platform, didactic lectures during workshops, and practical sessions using simulated patients and phantoms.
