Overview

This course covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of embedded control systems. The theory session includes the essential elements of control theory, including feedback control, state-space modeling, system stability, state-feedback control, and PID control. The practice session emphasizes on design of state-feedback controllers and PID controllers.

Who Should Attend

  • People who want to re-skill or are exposed to embedded control applications, in the areas of Cyber-Physical Systems, Internet of Things, Transportation, Automotive.
  • People who have already got a formal undergraduate or graduate degree in control engineering should not attend this course.

Certificate and Assessment

A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
  • Attend 75% of the programme,
  • Design a state-feedback controller and a PID controller

SkillsFuture Funding


In order to be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded by SkillsFuture, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
  1.  Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
  2.  Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
  1.  Be a Singaporean Citizen
  2.  Be at least 40 years old
  3.  Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.

 

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

This is a Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) supported course. If you are an NTUC member, you can enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year for courses supported under UTAP. Terms and conditions apply.
