Overview
The Covid-19 crisis among other crises have demonstrated their severe impact on many businesses, including the hospitality industry which has been heavenly affected. Businesses must be prepared not only to face such crises but also to act on it. This module seeks to apprise participants of the concept of crisis and risk management in the context of the hospitality industry in order to assist them to deal pro-actively with such crises.
This 3-day workshop will provide participants with the required knowledge and skills in “Crisis and Risk Management’. The workshop will focus on Crisis and Risk Management planning, post- and recovery crisis management practices and outlining ways to use business tactics to avoid and deal with revenue losses, whilst optimizing revenue potential in the crisis & post-crisis times. Hands-on practical will be conducted to complete the didactic teaching.

Certificate and Assessment
A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
- Attend 75% of the course
- Undertake non-credit bearing assessment (during course)
A Certificate of Attainment for each module will be issued to participants who:
- Attend at least 75% of each respective module; and
- Participants who pass the Continuous Assessment

SkillsFuture Funding
To be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy
To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen
- Be at least 40 years old
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.
SIT reserves the right to make changes to published course information, including dates, times, venues, fees and instructors without prior notice.

There are a total of 11 credit-bearing modules, of which there are 4 core modules, and a choice of 4 out of 7 elective modules to meet the 24 credits requirements for the PGCert in Future Hospitality Experience. Candidates who complete 8 modules (4 core modules and 4 elective modules) totalling 24 credits with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 will be awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Future Hospitality Experience by SIT.
