Overview
The 6-day course is designed to give participants an understanding of BIM & FM tools and their capabilities for space and occupancy planning, moves, adds, and changes (MAC). After a brief overview, the course provides an in-depth, hands-on experience using ARCHIBUS focused on teaching the data requirements, industry standards, business processes, and technologies available for managing space and occupancy.

What You’ll Learn
Fundamentals
- Demonstrate familiarity navigating the web
- Describe the variety of business applications
- Produce reports of facilities data, including graphical representations of floor plans from BIM
- Use rich client application to manage views and data
Space Inventory
- Introduce the area concepts
- Develop space classifications
- Produce reports and analyses on space inventory and utilisation
Occupancy
- Develop employee standards
- Produce occupancy plans & building headcounts
- Locate employee & vacant rooms
- Learn concepts and application of Team Space (Alternative Workspace Strategy)
- Produce reports on employee average area & departmental utilisation of space
Chargeback
- Develop an internal recharge system
- Calculate chargeable area and cost data grouped by operational unit
- Develop greater awareness of space cost and thereby improvements in efficiency
Move Management
- Plan large-scale box moves using multiple phases and trials
- Execute moves that involve people and rooms that are not yet in the inventory
- Manage the entire move process at both the macro and micro levels
- Organise vast amount of data, communication, and coordination among the many different parties involved in a move
Hands-on: Mini Project
- Apply acquired knowledge and skills in the project

A Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
- Attend 75% of the course, and

SkillsFuture Funding
In order to be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded by SkillsFuture, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy
To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen
- Be at least 40 years old
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.
