SITizens Learning Credits

Overview

Nowadays, the growing awareness of building sustainability, human comfort and health has given rise to an increased demand for a higher level of lighting design strategies and actions in built environment. This course aims to equip participants with the fundamental lighting principals in the context of building design and diagnostics. They will acquire knowledge on a wide spectrum of lighting categories, such as lighting physics, physiological and psychological factors, performance metrics, design and benchmarking methodologies, and contemporary simulation tools. At the end, experiential demonstrations will be conducted to better elaborate the lighting design strategies in a professional lighting mock-up room. The knowledge learned in this two-day course enables the participants to understand and communicate these lighting concepts to others.

To aid companies in transforming their capabilities through their human capital, and support Singapore’s drive towards becoming a Smart Nation, this course is mapped to the Singapore Economic Development Board’s Singapore Smart Industry Readiness Index – Dimension 6 - Facility Automation; Dimension 9 - Facility Connectivity; Dimension 12 - Facility Intelligence
