Overview
Railway Engineering Simulator (RES) is an integrated railway system simulation software which is capable of modelling and simulating railway systems including railway infrastructure, rolling stock, signalling, power and passenger flow. It was developed by London Underground (LU) and has been used in London for railway planning, system upgrades and tender evaluations.
During this 3-day course, we will introduce the basics of RES and demonstrate how the railway network, rolling stock, timetable and signalling are modelled. Practical sessions will also be covered to give participants a hands-on experience on how to use this tool and learn about its capabilities.
What You’ll Learn
