Overview
This module aims to train students to independently write and present scientific/technical posters and reports to communicate effectively scientific/technical findings to a broad community of readers. Through this module, students will be taught the skills required to communicate complex scientific or technical information into content that a specific audience can easily understand.
What You’ll Learn
At the end of the module, students should be able to achieve the following learning
outcomes:
- Analyse, synthesize and interpret information from various sources
- Write business emails in the appropriate format, structure and tone
- Present a proposed solution to a clearly defined problem, meeting stakeholder
requirements
- Write a report, justifying the feasibility of the proposed solution
- Present insightful reflections that evaluate knowledge learnt
- Revise their writing or presentations for clarity, conciseness, and coherence
- Cite sources correctly using the IEEE citation style
- Design reader friendly documents.

SkillsFuture Funding
In order to be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded by SkillsFuture, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy
To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
- Be a Singaporean Citizen
- Be at least 40 years old
- Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme
