SITizens Learning Credits


Public speaking skills plays an important role for professionals, entrepreneurs, managers and executives as it influences listeners to adopt ideas during sales presentations. It is the ability to present confidently to engage, connect and persuade even culturally diverse audiences. Participants in this two-day workshop will learn useful and effective ways to present a subject content in an organised manner to a live audience and deliver sparkling presentations.

Certificate and Assessment

An SITLEARN Certificate of Participation will be issued to participants who:
  • Attend 75% of the course
  • Undertake non-credit assessment (during course)

Day 1
  • the scope of your chosen project
  • Outline your oral presentation project
  • Make an effective verbal pitch to a small group by
    • Selecting the right words required to communicate ideas clearly, vividly and appropriately
    • Experimenting with different gestures, facial expressions, and body movements to illustrate and emphasize parts of your speech
    • Using voice, volume, pitch, rate and quality as assets to your speaking

Day 2
  • Adapt various visuals aids to enhance message reception, comprehension, and retention
  • Use techniques to arouse and maintain audience interest in the presentation
  • Influence listeners by integrating the best verbal and non-verbal communication strategies
  • Deliver a sparkling presentation of your project

Terms & Conditions:

SkillsFuture Course Funding

In order to be eligible for the 70% training grant awarded by SkillsFuture, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
  1.  Be a Singaporean Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
  2.  Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

To be eligible for the 90% enhanced subsidy awarded, applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) must:
  1.  Be a Singaporean Citizen
  2.  Be at least 40 years old
  3.  Not receive any other funding from government sources in respect of the actual grant disbursed for the programme

SIT reserves the right to collect the balance of the programme fees (i.e. the potential grant amount) directly from the applicants (and/or their sponsoring organisations where applicable) should the above requirements not be fulfilled.
