SITizens Learning Credits

With rapid development in High Potency Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (HPAPI) in the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMO's), the quest for containment that fulfills regulatory standards, prevents cross-contamination in shared facilities, and reduces operators' exposure to potent compounds is an ever-increasing challenge and critical component of drug manufacturing.

As the industry gradually shifted away from permanent hard wall stainless steel containment to single use flexible ones, it is important to have a sound understanding of the basic concepts, as well as the potential benefits that can be brought by embracing this technology.

If you are a process, project or safety engineer or manager working in the pharmaceutical industry, this 2-day workshop will help enhance your problem-solving in high potency pharmaceutical powder containment by finding an alternative to conventional permanent hard wall containment solutions. Participants will leave with a good understanding of flexible powder containment concepts and basic engineering design of containment equipment. The knowledge will help provide solutions to powder containment challenges, thus effectively meeting safety requirements for the operators, as well as quality production for your manufacturing plant.

What You’ll Learn

A comprehensive and hands-on course on single-use flexible containment concepts for process, project, operations and safety engineers and managers working in the pharmaceutical industries that requires powder containment. Participants will benefit by gaining the following knowledge:
  • The growing trend of single-use flexible containment technology for high potency pharmaceutical powders.
  • Fundamental concepts of flexible containment.
  • The growing stringency on HPAPI (High Potency Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) exposure limits.
  • The potential benefits that single-use flexible containment can offer over permanent hard wall ones
  • To understand the engineering aspect of flexible containment
  • Hands on experience to visualize how single-use flexible containment works.

Who Should Attend
