Overview
Requirements Engineering deals with discovering, eliciting, developing, analysing, determining verification methods, validating, communicating, documenting, and managing requirements. System requirements play major roles in systems engineering, as they:
- Form the basis of system architecture and design activities;
- Form the basis of system integration and verification activities;
- Act as reference for validation and stakeholder acceptance; and
- Provide a means of communication between the various technical staff that interact throughout the project.
There will be two modules of increasing skillset mastery that can be taken up:
- Requirements Engineering Foundations
- Requirements Engineering Practice
Requirements Engineering Foundations
This course provides an overview of the requirements engineering process. Fundamental concepts and principles are covered. Requirements engineering process activities are also introduced. Participants will acquire a functional understanding of requirements engineering based on its process activities built from fundamental concepts and principles upon completion.
