This 3-day intensive course provides an update to changes and new requirements in Singapore standards SS 555: 2018 code of practice for protection against lightning. Participants will gain a good understanding of the characteristics and effects of lightning and the best practices to adopt to alleviate its damaging effects.
You will learn how to assess the vulnerabilities of their installations and facility as well as to implement effective mitigations against lightning hazards. Case studies on design principles and innovative solutions are drawn from the instructor’s consulting work. Common pitfalls in implementation of lightning protection are also explained.
